Shalimar

About This Project

Located in Sierra Leone, a building you do not see every day, and a piece of art you cannot ignore. Gas stations’ buildings are rarely given much interest, we usually see gas stations as a mainstream building. The architect and designer Hala Badreddine and her team always think outside the box, Shalimar’s gas station is a design that stands out in a fascinating deconstructivism style, showing the energy of oil and the colors of petrol making an attracting site. Clients are pulled by the attracting design of the building; filling their tanks with gasoline or diesel, the market is available along with washing tubs and oil change service, the station provides a coffee shop and lounge and a pleasing open 360 view waiting area.
